Slabs which are directly established on the ground level, to support walls and other structural elements are called as ‘Slab on grade’ or ‘Grade Slabs’ and are one of the 16 types of slabs. Grade slab itself is the building basis which does not require further footings. This type of slabs may have reinforcement in it.
